Maybe if the San Jose/Vegas was east coast teams they could get away with that too, but PST games, they realize they're not stepping on any toes when it comes to tv schedule so you won't have the "overlapping games" issue with them.

More than that, it'd just be too much of an advantage for that series winner, assuming you believe there's an advantage to time off between series, they'd be done early while Preds/Jets seems destined for a 7-game slugfest.

I don't think I've ever seen the NHL start a series before the previous round is over? Feel like I have seen that before, maybe in the NBA...

Legit worried about the Preds, because that really truly is what has happened to the Caps the last few years.

Assume you're about as good as your opponent, you expect to be the better team on the ice about 50% of the time. If you can't win the games in which you're much better than the opponent - what makes you think you're going to win the ones where they're better than you?

Basically, the Jets just stole a game they didn't deserve - which means that in order to advance, Nashville now will have to steal at least one game they don't deserve...

When you consider the kinda BS waived-off goal, and the crazy luck to score when Tukka lost a blade, this was basically a rout - and all with Boston having come off a long and tough series with Toronto.
