I figure there's quite a few mobile game topics on the forum and I've never heard anyone mention this before but I've played it quite a lot over the last 2 months.

It's basically a Hero Builder game but it's quite nice for a few reasons.

1. You can be competitive and obtain everything by even being fully free to play. I have never seen a game as generous with their handouts before. The developers always come across super nice and seem like they actually care and there aren't any blatant cash grab mechanics. Sure you can spend to get ahead but you really don't have to.

All content/heroes are accessible and you're never at the whim of a Gacha system. There's no heroes hidden behind a Gacha system. The Heroes 'Unique Weapons' can be pulled from the Gacha but you can also get these items various other farmable ways. All Heroes can be flat out bought for ingame currency (which isn't terrible to get) including brand new ones or you can get a new Hero from the Inn every 15-18 days.

2. Every hero is viable (There's like 50 of them right now). There's always going to be a meta but it is 100% possible to just pick and build your favorites and clear all content.

3. There's a decent amount that you can customize on a Hero. Most endgame gear has 4 'stat' slots on from a pool of like 15-20. Every Hero has unique skillsets that can be upgraded and then when you Transcend them, you get to pick which skills you want to get bonus perks on and what bonus traits you want for the character. Every skill has 2 bonuses to pick between. You can't upgrade everything, you have to pick perks to fit your build so like for a fully upgraded Hero I have there's 18 perks and I could only pick 6 of them.

4. They do frequent balance patches (every 2-4 weeks) so the meta is constantly changing. Any oppressive heroes are nerfed gradually (rather than full blown nerf into oblivion) and any languishing heroes are buffed regularly to allow them to be usable (except fan favorite Reina for some reason. Her day will come!)

As a new player hero wise you get:

4 heroes from story mode (and even beginner Heroes are solid endgame picks)
A 5th Hero after clearing the first chapter on easy (one of the best Tanks in game)
A 2* Hero Selector Ticket after clearing the first chapter on normal (2* Heroes are just as good as 3* ones).
A 3* Hero Selector Ticket on Day 4 Login
A 5* Hero Selector Ticket on Day 10 Login (No hero is default 5*, these are all just promoted 2/3* heroes)

I can give a rough guide of what to do if anyone wants to try it out. I would highly recommend it. It's one of the best mobile games I've played.

And yeah, it's extremely F2P friendly. I do quite well for having never spent a dime. It does have a fairly heavy end-game grind though, but it's fun none-the-less.

A couple tips I can offer as well.

Use your 2*/3*/5* ticket and one of the starter characters to be your primary team to start with, or if you like more than one of your starters, you can do two and two. Frey is a starter and easily one of the best healers in the game. Clause is a starter and one of the best tanks in the game.

I would recommend just buying heroes from the Inn, even though it takes 2-3 weeks, and saving further Hero Tickets for when you get Random Ultimate Weapon Tickets. This way, if you get an Ultimate Weapon for a Hero you don't have, and it looks like a Hero you might be interested in, you can use the stored Hero Ticket for them immediately.

If you are Free to Play, use your Rubies mainly for Stockade, and to a lesser extent, Conquest and Upper Dungeon resets. Eventually, even as Free to Play, you'll have tons of Rubies, but powering up your heroes is more important than buying heroes or costumes with Rubies early on, and Special Summons with Rubies tend to be a bit of a waste since you will be replacing gear fairly quickly.

Try to make sure to spend 500 Stamina each day (not as hard as it sounds). You can get 1500 Stamina and 1.5mil Gold every day just for spending 500 Stamina. I've been playing a couple months now, and I have over 20k Stamina banked up to do whatever I please with, and plenty of money to spend as well. Auto-farming makes spending 500 Stamina easy, and it's actually kind of a necessity since that's a good way to get enhancement materials for gear, or sell/grind excess stuff.

Oh and I think the wait at the Inn approach should potentially be revised somewhat now that League of Honor actually has something that is definitely worth farming.

League of Honor opens when you get 12 Heroes. It might be worth grabbing 1-2 Heroes from the store with Rubies if you really like those heroes and it would get you up to that 12 Heroes number.

League of Honor is currently the only place you can farm Unique Treasure (aside from getting lucky on Gacha) as a rate of 1 every 3 weeks. By buying heroes with rubies you're knocking off 18-21 days to you getting League of Honor access. So every Hero you buy with rubies is effectively gets you to LoH access 3 weeks earlier and so is worth ~1 Unique Treasure. I 100% would pay 4-6k Rubies (hero cost) to pick out a Unique Treasure of my choice.

Rubies are in game currency that can be earned. By the time you get access to the final chapter you'll likely have 15k+ Rubies (at least that's roughly what I had)

I downloaded it. Ive been playing Clash Royale a lot. But I tend to hit a wall and need several months of break. But always good to have a free mobile game. I did that dumb Disney one for a bit but theyve made it too obnoxious to get stuff done without $$ and all you get rewarded with are Disney characters that roam around pointlessly. So even if I wouldnt have trouble spending four dollars on Tigger, why would I?

For the first 5 tiers (50 levels), once your gear is at +20, grind your extra stuff (unless you really, really need the gold), but don't use the Forge to enhance the options of your gear. You will be replacing your stuff so quick that it's not worth worrying about option upgrades, reforging, or even awakening it tbqh (though you can still do this if you really want).

Wear Ancient Gear at first, but then run 30/40/50/60/70 Black Dragon as much as you can at each tier to get the best gear at those tiers. Use Heroic and Ancient gear to enhance the level of the gear to it's max, and Rares if you are absolutely desperate (which might be the case early on in Tier changes).

When you hit Tier 6 content, you will want to start paying attention to stats on the gear a bit more and awakening the gear a bit more, but you still don't want to enhance or reforge yet. The content will get a bit harder, but not so much so that you want to heavily invest resources to clear it. Just simply awakening gear will be enough to progress and keeping your gear +20.

It won't be until Tier 7 that you will worry about reforging and enhancing your gear since that is the gear you will start wearing more permanently.

Apparently I drew Crow's unique weapon, which is neat. I have enough rubies saved up, so now I'm considering using them to get Crow. Before I do that though, I guess it's important to ask: how do I upgrade the level limit on unique weapons?

I'm also struggling to figure out who to use this 5* hero ticket for. Unfortunately most of the heroes I really want (Tanya, Sonia, and especially Cassandra) aren't available with it, so I'll have to figure something else out. What I really need is either a good healer or a good tank, so I think I've narrowed it down to Laias, Kaulah, Jane, or Demia. Anyone have an opinion on this?

You enhance an Unique Weapon just like any other weapon, but the highest level you can enhance it is the level of the hero it belongs to. So a UW can be as high as +80.

Really depends on the rest of your team and the synergy you are looking for. Don't forget that Frey and Clause are also really strong and healer and tank respectively, and you get them for free. Look at the hero abilities and see what really meshes well with the composition you are aiming for. For example, if you get Crow, Clause would have synergy with him for increasing his physical damage.

If you still can't decide, just pick who's art you love most lol, and remember that early on you are just aiming to clear content. Eventually you'll have more UWs and characters and each will be specifically used for different content, whether it be PvE, PvP, Raids, World Bosses, and what not.

For the Normal Raids, not a whole lot.

Fire Dragon gives Crit set.
Ice Dragon gives HP set.
Poison Dragon gives CC Resist set.
Black Dragon gives Mana Recovery set.

With minimal exceptions, Black Dragon is always the set you want to run for. Your Tank may want a 2 and 2 Ice and Black Mix maybe, but by and far the most important thing in this game is dps, and the faster you get mp, the faster things die. The crit set might be useful early on, but eventually hitting the crit cap of 100% isn't too hard.

Hard Dragon raids are a different story. Each of the dragons is immune to various things, whether it's ranged attacks, melee attacks, physical damage, or magical damage.

The level you do affects mostly the amount of raid coins you get, which you spend to buy dragon gear drops from the Forge guy. If you mostly just want the current gear tier you are working for, doing the 10s (30/40/50/60/70) is the easiest way to go about it. If you can get away with doing higher because you know you can handle it, or you are being carried, then go for that since getting coins is a great way to get pieces that have eluded you or that you need an extra of to awaken it's star level.

Sonia is the main exception I can think of for sets. She wants the Ice Dragon set as she has a perk that deals damage based on HP. Which makes it problematic to farm as everyone wants the same thing, nobody is farming Ice Dragon for anything but the tank set. It's also a bit of a pain to solo due to mechanics

Fire Dragon is easiest to solo so sometimes you see people running that. Like some of my DPS run Fire Dragon sets just because I could solo 78 Fire Dragon with ease but took me a bit longer to be able to solo Black Dragon 70.

Gau and Phillop (and to a lesser extent Clause) are the key pieces to soloing dragons as they prevent the flying breath killing everyone unless you gear well enough to tank the hit.

Oh what about Stam pots. Should I just use them when hot time is up when I get to like the 70s and I will just need a lot of xp

Use them as freely as you want. You will end up with excess stamina constantly. Like right now I have 8000 stamina and 600+ stamina pots

Yeah, I have 24,000 Stamina. If you are spending 500 Stamina a day, you get 1500 Stamina in return... every day. Go to EVENT tab of your Missions and collect you 1.5m Gold and 1500 Stamina every day.

You also get 2 stamina pots from daily missions and bonus stamina depending on your level. Like 200-300

So like for my day 3 log in I didnt read the thing and didnt know it gave me a random weapon and I just saved it until I got to my 3 Star her log in and picked Maria Because I decided Im 100% getting her. Then I just opened my random uw and... got Marias weapon.

Getting a Hero's Unique Weapon early can impact your choices. Pavel is a really good CC and Sub-DPS unit from my understanding, both in PvE and PvP, and quite useful on Black Dragon (According to a tier list he is an S rank unit in those 3 categories). His UW is a must have to make him even better.

That being said, if you just aren't interested in Pavel as a character to join your roster, like if you had other heroes in mind, it wouldn't be the worst decision to not get him and just grind his UW or hold it until you do get him.

The Tier list also shows that most all heroes have their strengths and weaknesses in different aspects of the game. They go on sale on release and then randomly thereafter (maybe once every 3-4 months). Like I'm at Day 73 and I think I've seen most skins on sale at least once

You do also get tickets for free skins as login bonuses
