also I think this might be the topic with the least amount of change to the tiers and rankings compared to the previous one because I didn't watch any anime and the only addition to the female character rankings was Yuri from DDLC

I'm thinking about making an adjustment and moving Eru Chitanda up the rankings a bit once I finish the last Hyouka book though. Speaking of which, the current story I'm reading is narrated by Mayaka instead of Hotaro, so that's an interesting perspective change.

And I still need to finish up re-watching the prequel Star Wars movies (and Rogue One) at some point, although that's been on hiatus since I watched Episode VIII all the way back in December.

I agree with most of the criticisms you had, but it seemed like you were able to see past most of them in favor of areas where the game really shined (like Max's character). LiS definitely isn't perfect, but I think those high points still add up into something truly special.

Well, the silver lining is that I think you're given exactly a two BP margin between Perfect BP and A Rank so you should still make that. Though I feel you, that Orvid thing is silly.

And while I don't think this is your concern at all - from a save transfer point of view, 3rd only looks at your Bracer Rank so if you hit A Rank you're good from its point of view. (As opposed to FC to SC where it checks rank and also a separate bonus for max BP)

Oh, a note about that because I think if you do things in the "wrong" order you can miss out on one.

You'll actually be able to get two. Here's the process (I think you're using a guide but just in case):

When Grancel is under attack you can trade with the guy in the Bracer Guild and get a Zemurian Ore. Later, on Liber-Ark, Professor Russell will eventually comment on it. I think you need to make it to the Residential District at least and examine one of the terminals in a house, but don't quote me on that. Russell is the guy you'll exchange the Ore for a Weapon with. However, still in the Residential District, one of the terminals in a house (Same house as the one from before IIRC) a terminal will react to you if you have a Zemurian Ore on you and give you a second one. If you gave Russell your one from the books earlier then obviously you won't have one for it to react to and you'd miss the second ore.

tl;dr: Make sure you pick up a second Zemurian Ore before trading them in for weapons

Fast paced, thrilling, smart and the dialogue is all pretty awash in melodrama but it really works with the Gundam but more fancy style.

Oh, Code Geass does a lot of things right most of the way (it also does a lot of things wrong but I'm willing to forgive some stuff if the rest is good enough). It's the last arc that totally blows it off the rails. If it were that terrible from the start, I'd have never finished it!

Trails SC Chapter 8 complete! Man, the finale here is so good! Even Dunan and Philip get to be cool! Good move on Walter's part for acknowledging how utterly lame Weissmann's stereotypically evil ways are, too!

Also, I'm glad we get to keep Kloe's new outfit, but it's a shame we lose out on Olivier's. And yes, I am now an A-rank Bracer, and it's neat of the game to actually let Estelle invoke it during the arbitration!

by the way the Liber Ark should really be a Liber Garden because it looks like it belongs in FFVIII with that design

and the central area of the island totally looks like Soltis from Skies of Arcadia

Hmmm...So I finished the Hyouka short story from Mayaka's perspective. That was really interesting because it's a story about Hotaro that isn't from his perspective, and he does nothing to help her solve the mystery. It lets you view him from a perspective you don't normally get to see, which is neat.

There were a few other little tidbits from the post-anime books, like Hotaro talking about how they don't all go to the Classic Lit Club every day and days where all four of them together are relatively rare. They just show up when they feel like it, whether it's just one or two of them or all of them. He makes it clear that they aren't this completely inseparable band of friends who spend all their time with each other. We just see the times they do because they're big events, and we almost never see their social lives outside of the club simply because they aren't relevant to the plot, but they do have other good friends.

also there was a line in Mayaka's story that pretty heavily implied that she knows Chitanda likes Hotaro so there's some nice shipteasing

Anyway, in Trails SC, I'm slowly working my way through the Liber Ark. All the lore surrounding Zemuria and the Aureole is pretty fascinating, so gradually unraveling what it was all about is really cool. I got the second Zemurian Ore, and I figured I might as well make ultimate weapons for Estelle and Joshua since I'll be using them all the time. I rescued Josette, and talking to everyone on the Arseille with her in your party was fantastic.

Although I've encountered a weird glitch on the part where I have to input the name Celeste D. Auslese to get the Gospel from the dispenser. For some reason, when it gets to the part where you input the initial, the cursor disappears and I can't make a selection even if I hit X. If I keep scrolling and hitting X, it eventually accepts the input, but I obviously have no idea if I've selected the right thing, and I've been pushing the button so fast that I accidentally keep selecting the wrong option for the last name anyway. It's super annoying.

Also, I have all the recipes in the recipe book now, but you also apparently have to cook them all, not just learn them all. According to the Steam Achievements thing, there are two I'm missing, but of course, I have no idea which two, so I guess I'll have to cook them all or something.
