Somebody must've vandalized his Wikipedia page.
I wasn't around to see him play football, but I know him from his movies. He was the first black action star though I've never seen him recognized as such. He started in supporting roles before playing the lead in a couple westerns and several "blaxploitation" films. He wasn't the first black actor to play an action hero, but he was the first to make a full career out of it. When he does pass, I hope he is eulogized as both an athlete and an action star. ...
