You realize there are people behind those cameras right I mean, could they react and get out in time if someone did draw a gun and decide to fire? It is probably unlikely, as they realise at that point adding a murder charge isn't really going to help, but bound to get someone crazy enough eventually. Chris Hansen always had the element of surprise on those guys. He knew what they were all about before they even walked in the door.
Plus, the psychological profiles of these guys would indicate that they weren't violent criminals generally.
