My mom panicked and my dad was a typical dad about having his baby girl taken away so... unfavorably. However that all changed when we met. They realized how much he really loved me and they stopped worrying shortly after that. Then a couple months later I think we all met for dinner. Believe it or not the curmudgeon vcharon is actually very charming IRL.

P.S. The main reason my mom was worried is because the day before our first date she has seen a story on the news about some lady in New England who went to meet up with someone she only knew through the internet who ended up dead with her dismembered body parts in a dumpster.
