That's like being the worst Batman movie. Even the godawful 1949 serial is moderately amusing.

depends on if you played Prime 1 and 2 on GC or Wii.

If you haven't played them on Wii then play 3 so you can feel silly for ever playing them on GC

If you have played them on Wii then there's nothing too particular you're missing.

But, Omega is a bit of an ordeal with the pointer.
The rest of the game is sooooo good with pointer controls, though.

if you can get it cheap or free play it.

if not, don't.

I'd play it if I could use a traditional controller.

I never bothered because the demo kinda sucked.

The controls are completely different. At least it looks good...but the biggest thing it had going was online multiplayer.

i think the reason why 3 was bad was because i dunno if this is really spoilers but you have to collect a bunch of items to open a door right

MP3 has the most beautiful levels in the series, and the shooting controls (with Wiimote + nunchuck) are fun and feel great. It's the next best thing to having an arcade cabinet with a lightgun.

It's got satisfying lore too, with implications that go beyond just the Prime games (that tie into the franchise at large).

That said, the FPA elements take a backseat to the shooting and the level design is highly segmented. It's not the best Metroid game but it sets itself apart in some notable ways which make it worth checking out, imo.

no no no, the whole game is basically based on just collecting shit to do that and it was just tedious.

Also it was obnoxiously linear, and didn't try to hide or even barely obscure being obnoxiously linear

If youre a big DS fan/collector you may as well get it, since it is well known and cool. But as a Metroid game at this stage, its forgettable.

If youre a big DS fan/collector you may as well get it, since it is well known and cool. But as a Metroid game at this stage, its forgettable.

The only Metroid I don't have is Hunters and Pinball. There's about a regret and a half in the ones I did buy, and no regret in buying the Prime games twice.

take any generic FPS game. get a metroid skin/environment mod. bam theres metroid prime.

Worse than Prime 2? I couldn't finish Prime 2 because it's extremely backtrack-heavy and Dark Aether is extremely shitty in execution. I loved Prime 1, but I can't stand Prime 2.
