Is this going to be one of those times when you pretend not to have a plan until the last moment? And then turn out to really not have one?

Where like Khakis and a nice button up shirt.

Also, I work in para-transit. Well, I work for a company that also does para-transit. For my area, it's around $11-$13 an hour, but I live in a place where the cost of living is lower. So, it depends on where you live.

As you are working for the actually assisted living community, it might be a little different. Do you have you CDL? Will you need a CDL? How big is the pats-transit van?

does NOT require a CDL, but if it did it would be no prob. i had one 6 years ago, and i could easily pass and get one again, passenger endorsement or whatever included.

shit man, i was honestly expecting it to be a minimum wage gig, so thats actually pretty tight to hear. im really not getting into it for the money, but that will be a nice bonus for sure.

thanks dood

But remember, it could be different based on the area. And for the fact that it's the actually assisted living community instead.

As for the CDL, I know you said it doesn't require one, but I know the test has change in the past couple of years. Including a ridiculous walk around... even for a vehicle you probably won't drive... and about things you wouldn't need to know about...

It just depends. I had a couple job interviews and didn't wear a tie to any. And got all the positions. And had to turn down a couple...

The standard I've always heard is to dress one notch more formally for the interview than you expect to for the job. Defining that's pretty tricky, since formality isn't exactly clearly quantized like that, but I'd say that if you don't expect to wear a tie on the job, wear what you would on the job, with a tie added.

Ayyy, I got the job.

My new bosses are a couple of awesome ladies, one of whom was born in my parents' home town.

I get to drive for the grocery store twice a week, which will eliminate my need to do it on the weekends. Driving for doctors appointments twice a week, and the a couple of 2 hour scenic rides per week.

Shit sounds pretty tight, and my bosses are pretty psyched about my schedule flexibility so I'm pretty happy.
