Technically the United States would have qualified athletes in ski cross, but there is a rule in freestyle skiing that a nation can only have 30 athletes across all events meaning both Canada and the United States have to reject some athletes.

Snowboarding has a similar rule (26 athletes across all events), but this time no one had more than the maximum.

Meldonium is such a ridiculous drug to use in curling. I'm not even sure it would help the athlete that much (it'd help his sweeping I guess). It's also dumb to take given the high profile cases involving the drug, it's obvious that WADA knows how to detect the drug.

I'm having a brain fart. Isn't there a skiing event where 5 or 6 competitors ski at the same time and perform high dangerous jumps? I remember skiers jumping forward over a series of snowy hills at incredibly fast speeds. Maybe they performed one at a time, and maybe when I saw this event many years ago it wasn't actually part of the Olympics.

And if jumps were all that mattered that would be fine.... but sadly figure skating judges you on emotion and telling a story.... Im all for figure skating becoming snowboard pipe, where just tricks and landings matter, but until that happens Sailor Moon should have won today.

The 15 year old had emotion. She was totally happy and jumpy. It fit with the upbeat program. Evegina looked like she was going to cry. As if she was in pain.

The Women's final is on tonight after the news break.
I don't think they they bothered to show the Men's final at all from a few days ago on TV. At least I didn't catch it. I watched the event online though and it was just as insane and fun as always!
