apolloooo 01/28/18 9:46:03 AM #1:	I mean i do get the appeal. It is kinda an extrovert's version of shutting yourself inside a separate world. -the music: i mean it is not bad, there was a live music with dancers and DJs, but they are just obnoxiously, and most likely intentionally loud. It is just so loud and the bass are just so exaggerated that the point is not to immerse yourself in melody but to create a noise that become a barrier that separate the outside world. Which i think it can be done cheaper with a dude, an empty barrel and a sledgehammer. It literally serve the same purpose. -food, drinks, and stuff: fucking. Overpriced. Piece. Of. Garbage. Hate it, hate it so much. It gouge your wallet right just when you entered, it does it again every moment you wanna have some fun. Drink selection is fine, alot of types of liquor, competent bartender, but the prices, oh the prices put theather and airplane food and beverages to shame. Fuck this shit. -general atmosphere: it is, well it really is not for me, but again i can see the appeal. It really is a place where you can lose yourself, a hideaway i guess from the tediums of everyday generally shitty life. It is really the equivalent of immersing myself in a great RPG adventure or drawn into a good story of book. It is in the end, a form of escapism. I used to like them and have worked in a couple, the second I took over one and started to manage one and seek profits (and ultimately curb certain behavior)...didn't really see much appeal anymore. Managing them sounds kinda fun. Some of the downtrodden ones can be a hive of illegal stuff, like downright dangerous bootleg alcohol or crude drugs if what i heard from friends are true. I'm not a fan of the genital grind thar constitutes dancing. Now I stick to pubs or live music venues.
