Last few years I just went a couple of days a week. Did a week's worth of work in 2 days and stayed home the rest of the week. Didn't really talk to anyone. Just did my work, left, and then stayed home on my computer the rest of the week. First year I did basically no work at all. I have not done homework since 3rd grade when my teacher lost it and said I didn't turn it in. That's why the last couple of years aren't straight A's.

I went to school if I wanted to and did work if I wanted to. I didn't need to because it was all bullshit I already knew. I preferred staying home and teaching myself.

I didn't do any work at all that year. All grades are solely from the days I showed up and are grades for attendance. Why do you think they didn't fail me?

Serious question, have you ever done anything wrong? Can you look back at an event and think you were in the wrong, or that you could have handled it better?

Everyone does things wrong sometimes and could have done things different. That being said, the only thing a sheep is good for is being cute, being used for the needs of others, and tasting delicious. Remember that.

ok... So how does that make you an autodidact? You still went to school and were taught the curriculum. Unless you think studying on your own somehow makes you an autodidact, in which case pretty much everyone is.

Have you actually mastered a profession on your own? Or hell, taught yourself to play an instrument?

This isn't any new information. I don't think you understand what an autodidact is. Lol I mean the fact that you went to school (albeit sporadically) and took standardized tests would fly in the face of that.

Maybe go into how you think you taught yourself anything. Did you just fly through wikipedia articles? Did you read the Encyclopedia? What did you actually do to teach yourself, and what exactly did you teach yourself?

No. I stayed home on my computer and taught myself by reading about pretty much everything. I didn't say that's why I was self-taught I said I taught myself the curriculum not that I ONLY taught myself the curriculum.

I had other things I dabbled with too that are mostly lost to the ancient internet but google "coded arms" "xsquader" for a remnant look to get an idea.

So what else did you teach yourself? Because you posted your transcripts as proof of you being autodidact when there is literally 0 proof of that in your transcripts.

So what's an example of something you've taught yourself? I gave you an easy out by saying an instrument. And I mean an actual instrument, without looking up youtube videos.

I used it as thermal paste because it works to an extent and I am seeing how long it will continue to work for.

How many people do you know who have gotten back both a bong and a laptop taken from the police and that the police avoid like the plague due to constantly fucking up and being called out on it? Like here

Not entire school - sometimes specific classes.

For example, one instance of me doing it was a C++ programming class. I'd attend some other classes - in my case it's largely a case of being depressed and having trouble getting my ass out of bed. I can motivate myself sometimes if it's a class I like but C++ was boring as hell because all of these programming classes are so cookie-cutter. IIRC I had a differential equations class that same semester though and went to at least 2/3 of the classes.

Another case was my number theory class last semester. Barely attended class (sometimes didn't even turn in homework if I had done it - the class was boring as fuck and it was at 8 AM). Still eked out an A. But on the flipside there was one different class I attended almost every session of that semester because the prof was awesome.

It all depends.

Luckily the depression is kinda ... "lightening up," so to speak? It's becoming easier to motivate myself to get out of bed.

I once went to a college class 8 times (only tests and the first week) and got an A. Went to another like 3 times (once was the final) and the labs for half the semester and got a B+. Stopped going to another after the first month outside of tests and got a B.

"College courses". I find it amazing these people are comparing semesters to entire school years. College is totally different. You just go to boring ass lectures and do everything at home anyways.

Reminder that:

- College courses are a semester long, as opposed to the year in high school (the density makes the material much harder since what would normally be a year-long high school course is packed into less than half that)
- Are usually significantly more difficult (compare real or complex analysis to precalculus)

Also, lectures are for making the material palatable. Good luck understanding any higher-level material without any sort of aid; it's not like high school.

If anything your reaction shows that you've either not been enrolled in a college/university (and are thus too naive to have your opinion worth consideration), or that sktgamer touched a nerve with some insecurity you have regarding higher education (in which case even you know the reality and just don't want to admit it). :3

Being a self taught idiot really isn't something I'd even tell anyone.

To be fair, TC also thinks that this one transcript with no other info is proof enough. It only proves his grades improved over time if that.

How many people do you know that can get grades like that with that many absences?

Happens all of the time in college. Students don't attend a class session that isn't a midterm or final, still make A's/B's. I've done it myself.

Doesn't mean anything other than that you know how to read the textbook.

So you have missed more than 2 months of school and made A's and B's?

I once went to a college class 8 times (only tests and the first week) and got an A. Went to another like 3 times (once was the final) and the labs for half the semester and got a B+. Stopped going to another after the first month outside of tests and got a B.

Youre not special for doing something most people can cakewalk through. Your teachers likely didnt want to deal with your bullshit and didnt care; as is the reaction any Hagerstown cop has when they see you.

"College courses". I find it amazing these people are comparing semesters to entire school years. College is totally different. You just go to boring ass lectures and do everything at home anyways.

Spoken like someone who has no idea what youre talking about, likely because you never went.

High school is even easier. By far. By. Far.

I remember spending most of my senior year of high school playing Pokemon X and Omega Ruby more than anything else. xD

I am a CS major so it is all cake. Only issue I have is with math but even then it is just a bit more mentally taxing and that's about it.

And American higher education is how Trump got a degree from a school that requires a higher IQ than he has that he only got a degree from by having a rich daddy, so I really don't want to hear a bunch of fallacious nonsense.

Oh, I didn't know you were a child. That explains a lot. Those games came out late 2013, almost 2014. You still being sheltered and lacking independence along with your brain not being fully developed yet as you are not in your mid 20s may be causing a misunderstanding of reality.

I'm 21 and in my second semester of my junior year of college now but keep trying. :3
