I was crushing it at first, but man did the difficulty spike blindside me. There was one boss elimination race that I had to do a dozen times, which sucks because the format of such races can take forever, win or lose.

Aviary Attorney for PC

VI gave me this as part of the Steam Secret Santa, and this is basically what I want Ace Attorney to be. Aviary Attorney accomplishes more in 4 hours than Ace Attorney does in 25.

Only used a Venusaur and HM slaves. It was a fun challenge playing through the game on memory without being able to understand the Japanese text.

Assassin's Creed II (PS3)

Really good game. Took me a long time to get to it, but it was a much better experience than AC1 and what I've played of Unity. Still, the controls and auto-climbing gets annoying quite often, but at least the story and characters were really interesting. Not an overabundance of pointless collectables and sidequests either, it was well balanced.

A game that I had bought years ago on BundleStars becasue I was a cheapo and didn't want to spend full price ($2).
It's a Ys type game where you play as the bad guy, made by pretty much 1 or 2 guys.

Took about 6 hours, 'open world' but very linear, kind of like a zelda or well ys.
Simple story, but it's ridiculous. Art could use some work...
But not bad if you like simple old style games like I do.
It was worth the money!

A game called Mimpi Dreams has a puzzle at the end of the game requiring you to press buttons in a certain order to advance.

Whenever I click a button, it registers as pressing it twice, resulting in resetting the puzzle every time. It is apparently a common bug.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64 via VC)
Unexpectedly, I feel similarly about it now as I do about 3. While there are some nice elements like some really nice visuals, a lot of powers are not good and there's a lot of backtracking because you have to carry some power combo from another level a long way into the current level. It also just feels bad to control.

Oh my god. Bioshock in Space! Or rather, System Shock is to this game as Dishonored was for Thief. I could not put this game down for days.

Played this via 2DS XL
It was short but fun.
Using different colored Ninja with their own special abilities you can switch around at anytime is good stuff.
Last level was very challenging.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate + Jack the Ripper DLC (PC)

Ever since I started AC2 waaaay back in 201?, I have FINALLY caught up with the series or at least put my foot in the door. I would've done it earlier, but my graphics card stood as a roadblock and I couldn't play Unity until last year.

That said, I'm probably in the very minority here but I very much still preferred Unity to this, however flawed both games are. What's even worse is, the DLC was better than the main game whereby it improved everything even side missions, and made the series as dark as what Victorian London should've been. Leave it to Ubi to squander opportunities like this all for the sake of ease of gameplay.

So odd that you can't even pummel when you grab an enemy. You can only throw/back throw an enemy.
5 levels only.
Some of the 8-bit renditions of this soundtrack sounds pretty good compared to the Genesis version.
