I presume some of you remember BedBugGate, where I engaged in an epic battle of wits with the cretins that were eating me alive. It looks like this battle is over, though because I am paranoid, I cannot be certain. Once there is all certainty that the enemy has been defeated, I will be cashing this. It will be a queen size mattress for myself only at this point, which will be the case for a while.

Questions that come from this are:
1. How do I allocate this $500? Do I invest it all in a mattress or set some money aside for new pillows, a new mattress pad, or a new headboard? (I do not have a headboard since the previous one was too infested to be salvageable). I am still pressed for cash myself but that looks to change in the near future, thankfully. I would think a $70 wooden headboard (just a decorative plank of wood for aesthetics and to help keep my bed in place) would work down the line.
2. What type of mattress do you find maximum comfort in? My current one is a standard pillow top mattress with a box spring that's like 14 years old and therefore is hardening. Please note I will NOT be going with a water bed (uncomfortable) or air mattress (too much maintenance for no real reward).

FYI: I typically sleep on my stomach, slightly to the side. My hands usually wind up by my head.

Any help is appreciated!
