I already called my 24/7 "emergency" maintenance line and left a message. But based on past experience with them and the fact it's a holiday tomorrow, I'm not confident they will hurry to help.

The Story:

I was using the shower and everything was normal. I suddenly heard a fast, repetitive thud from inside the wall where the plumbing for the shower is. It went from a quick thudding to a slow thudding until it stopped. It sounded like a lawn mower running out of gas.

When the thudding stopped, the water completely stopped coming out of the shower head. It would still work from the tub part, but with abysmal water pressure. Would take about 25 minutes to get a decent amount of water for a bath.

If I don't run the water for a while, then it will work with above average water pressure for several seconds when I first turn it on. Then it stops. When I do this, it isn't a gradual shift from high pressure to low pressure. It's high pressure for X amount of seconds and then it suddenly stops. Like some water is accumulating somewhere. The longer I wait to use it, the longer the water runs.

I fear it's a broken or frozen line? Mainly because that's my only guess because I know nothing else about this. I highly doubt there's anything I can do without the help of maintenence but maybe I'm wrong!
