Board 8 > What's the best way to earn Bison Bux in Street Fighter V?

So with the quality of the Season 3 pack, I decided I wanted to give this game another shot. I had quit right after the first DLC character was released. So I am sitting on a decent amount of Fight Money, but I want to unlock a few other people now too. So what's the best way to earn cash? I know the crappy Story Mode prequels are great for it, but what else?

I only played the main story on normal. :( How much can you unlock by playing it on Hard? This will determine if I go back and play it again or not.

Also, in case anyone is curious who I want:

Kolin
Alex
Ed
Balrog
Urien

Anyone else I can take or leave them.

And I didn't really like anyone of the main cast enough to stick it out, and I think that's a major reason I dropped out of the game. So hopefully I love one of these characters more!

I quit back when survivor mode was the only income of fight money and it was a completely fucking miserable experience. The only way I'd ever put myself through it is by using a trainer but people were getting banned left and right for that. >_>

yeah farming Survivor Mode for Fight Money was awful and now I'm way behind since I haven't played in like a year and a half

even with my 1 million bison bux i've never bought a character. I always bought the season passes and used my bux only for stages

Out of curiosity, how feasible is it to actually keep up and get all the characters for free like this?

base game single player stuff gives enough for 1 season (6 characters)
doing the single player stuff for those 6 would give enough for 2 more
keeping up with the weekly challenges would give enough for 3 (~300-350k per year)
single player stuff for those 3 would give enough for another

so feasible to an extent but you wouldnt be able to get any stages/costumes/etc for free

also of note is you can earn fite money by watching pro tour events on the pro tour site. usually 3k or so but capcup yesterday gave like 20k

I got all of s1 characters and only akuma from season 2 and I have 1 million left over

I finished updating my game.

Then I get into my game and I have ANOTHER download inside the game. Which after 20 minutes is at 16%.

Why is this like this?

And of course after it crawls to 16% in 20 minutes, the rest of the 84% manages to download in 10!

It kinda sucks, but when the new retail version gives all those s1 and s2 characters for free theyd basically be giving all of s3 away for free too with all that Fight Money to claim

CHANGE IN WAYS TO EARN FIGHT MONEY

Beginning January 16, modes that offered one-time finite batches of Fight Money will no longer do so. This includes Character Stories, the General Story (A Shadow Falls), Trials, Survival, and Demonstrations if you havent completed these modes yet, theres still a few weeks left to do so before the changes occur in January!

If youre a new player worried about getting enough Fight Money to get the Crossover Costumes, you still gain experience points from all modes except for the General Story. You receive Fight Money each time a character gains a level, and playing through each Character Story is a great way to quickly gain experience points for each character. Do this for all 28 characters and youll be the proud owner of at least 200,000 Fight Money. Combine this amount with Fight Money earned through online battles and recurring Missions and youll have plenty to use for Extra Battle Mode, additional characters and costumes!

For anyone worried about your current balance of Fight Money and League Points, they will remain intact and will not be affected by these changes.

Also beginning on January 16, when you purchase a new character with real money or via the Character Pass, you will receive that characters Battle Costume and additional colors 3-10 for their Standard and Battle Costumes. If you earn Fight Money, you can also obtain characters Story Costumes.

Change in Ways to Earn Fight Money
Until now, you could earn FM through clearing the various game modes such as Survival and Trials. Unfortunately, this lead to some new players having difficulty getting the FM offered by certain modes.
Beginning January 17th, instead of getting FM for clearing the Character Story, Trials, and Demonstrations once for each character, you'll be able to gain FM by clearing certain primary targets, and through regularly-provided content. For players who have already obtained FM through clearing the various game modes, this is a new opportunity to earn more FM.
