I quit counting, but I eat 3 big meals a day and 2-4 small meals. I would say my average is between 4,000-5,500. Some days I get more in there though.

My breakfast today was 8 waffles covered in syrup and butter. 4 eggs scrambled with butter. 6 sausage patties and close to a quarter pound of bacon. A blended shake of peanut butter, milk, banana, and chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast....and 4 pieces of toast covered in this 4 berry jam that I just love.

Still only 5'7" and 110 or so pounds.

Goddamn, that's crazy. Do you think of this as a perk or a burden of CF? I guess most people would make jokes about it being a perk but I imagine you have your "I really just don't want to eat this shit" days too.

No joke, that is every single damn day. I would love to stop spending the money it takes to feed me and stop wasting the time it takes to cook all this stuff. Crockpots and prepping helps out, but that is still a lot of work and money. Also, the fact that I eat all of that and they are still talking about having to place a feeding tube soon for added gain just about blows.

I would be lying though if I said I didn't get some enjoyment out of mocking my wife. She will be talking about her dieting and I will start making a big sundae in front of her and just smiling like a big asshole. The glares are totally worth it.

I am trying to put on weight first, no point in jumping to the list and making it up it just to be rejected. I have started raising the money in preparation though. Figure I'll get the feeding tube soon and that will be a big help in putting on mass.

I went to school with a girl with cf and she had some really close calls before a double lung transplant. She seemed to be doing a lot better but then after a few years she started having issues again. She passed away 7 years ago at 25.
