And I don't feel like running a 100 ft cord to the router. What should I get? Can I rig something or is a Wi-Fi adapter my only way. I have an extra router can that pick up signals lol? Can I rig a raspberry pi to do something

Get a WiFi card. They take like 5 minutes to install, if that.

I've tried USB adapters and the quality of connection is shoddy at best. I'd get random lag spikes playing online. And every time I woke the computer up, I had to unplug and replug it back in.

WiFi card ensures you're actually getting close to what you're paying for internet. Why pay for 'x' speed when a USB adapter will only give you 'y', which is less than half of what you're paying for.

100ft to router implies that it won't be a straight shot so even putting in a wifi card may not be a great choice.
You could try powerline adapters (usually fine although can be messed with by other appliances or if the wiring is weird where you live, usually just requires them to be re-synced more often than usual) or having a data point installed (definitely the most reliable method).
