I've seen a lot of disappointment over this fight, but one thing we should keep in mind is that this is one of the first fights of its kind.
We're extremely used to seeing far more flashy giant robot fights in sci fi, but it's very difficult to do the same in real life.
Give them some time to improve their technology and refine their designs and we'll likely see a lot of improvement in the future.
