I'm looking to improve. I've been on a plateau for years and it's about high time I do something about it. I'm gonna get guitar lessons to as well, but as a fill in are any of these sites worth?

Going to a tutor will probably be your best bet. I was stuck at my plateau for a few years until I switched the style of music I listened to so you might try broadening your horizons as well.

probably not

take lessons, listen and transcribe, and find new sheet music to look at.
scales in different positions, different ways to voice chords, reading rhythms - all important

there are also a number of books that would be helpful (I'm not a guitarist so I don't know any guitar-specific books off the top of my head, but there are definitely resources to find them/people who know which ones are necessary)

https://www.justinguitar.com/

It's free and known(used to be at least) as the go to place to learn guitar. Might want to skim through his stuff to see if there's anything useful.

Yeah. I've budgeted the money for at least one lesson a week, just need to find the right person now. Hopefully I can find a friend as I know lots of musos who should be able to help.

I think my problem is I don't have all these things neatly organized in front of me, kind of why I'm considering this in the first place.

Yeah, I've tried Justin Guitar a few times but always just get distracted and do something else.... sigh. I've been playing bass for 7 years, toured around the country, played in front of thousands and I'm probably no better than someone who has been playing a year or two. Really makes you feel like a worthless musician.
