It was cool back on PSOne but holy crap games should be fun, not jobs

but it seems like that's the game's niche. if you want a more arcade-y racer, those exist.

Sure, but I feel like Forza strikes a better balance between the two. I'm not asking GT to be Burnout, but a few fun extra modes not focused on realism would make it more universally appealing.

The fact that GT6 even tried to make the moon stage realistic shows that they take it too far.

Do they? Seriously, do they? I feel like this gen has been sorely missing some good arcade racers like Burnout, Split Second and Blur. The only ones I can think of are Mario Kart and meh NFS games.

I don't think they're trying to make it universally appealing.

The Crew was alright. I've heard really good things about Redout. Wreckfest has been in early access forever, but it's sort of arcadey on PC.

I think the moon stages weren't realistic enough. How are two point to point races against a clock and a lap around a small hill with cones to knock over realistic? But I see your point. Would it not be a neat thing if all cars could be driven on the moon just for laughs?

Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images.

Tried The Crew and didn't get on with it. Might give it another go though since it ended up being free. I forgot about Redout, was waiting for the Switch release, but not sure if that's happening anymore.

I don't get why that series is considered "realism". I drive my car everyday. That game does not feel like "realistic" driving at all. taking forever just to make a turn. Taking forever just to accelerate. I hate that series.
