I want Justice League to slay, but I also want Aquaman's accent to die painfully in some plague outbreak. Can Joss Whedon pull off a second superhero ensemble film without the set up Marvel Studios put into their avengers movie? When the hell is he going to stop fucking up and get back to the television plots and stories that so enthralled me fifteen years ago?
Hela's headdress is the best piece of costume design in the whole MCU in my opinion and she's being played by Cate Blanchett. Idris Elba? Tessa Thomson? This casting is positively delicious. But it's a Thor movie and those have awful track records, also a lot of the MCU movies are feeling really same-y. Whatever that headdress still has be shook and I'm going to give it all my money. I've no doubt that episode 8 will be the best and the best constructed movies of all these, serving the best soundtrack, set design, wardrobe, and storyboarding. I really like the feel of this new setting even if plotting details of how it came about are frustratingly sparse. Rarely do I ever get everything I want from the scripts so I know better than to trouble myself overly much about that. Just remember everyone, Star Wars only has like, the last 2 weeks of the year, where as Thor is out this month and Justice League is out in November.
