Two come to mind Descent and Defcon 5.

Descent- is a game where it is in first person but you are in a ship. And You are flying in this larger ship..( I think).

Defcon 5 is a odd game where you are on a space station alone and things hit the fan. For some reason it really gives you the feeling for isolation.

Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter on Xbox. I was amped up because Henry Rollins did the voice for the main character, and he was the singer of Black Flag which was a band I was a fan of.

Captain Quasar and Killing Time on Panasonic 3do were both great, and it's a console most barely remember even existed.

Seaman on Dreamcast, it blew my mind that you could talk to your fish through your controller mic and they would reply intelligently

Wild 9

A platforming game on the PS1. It was somewhat unique because you didn't directly kill enemies. You had a weapon called the Rig which let you grab enemies. You'd kill them by smashing them into the ground, throwing them in spike pits, pushing them under a roller, etc. Had a weird sense of humor too. I remember one level had you collecting your teammate's body parts and putting them back together. Another of your teammates was allergic to everything and his allergic reaction was exploding, so you'd smash his biosuit to crack it and then he'd blow up obstacles.

Operation: Weather Disaster

It's an old edutainment game for Windows 97 or something. I've always wanted to write a FAQ for it, but I (1) don't own it (2) probably can't get it to work even if I did. On a similar note of games I can't play, I wish Amazon Trail games were on Steam.

BtB was a decent early days RPG IMO. But I thought it was a Square game? Meh.

Devil's Deception or Kagero Deception series. Extremely fun games, you play as a person who fills a castle with traps to slaughter intruders.

Front Mission 3, one of the three best SRPGs of all time. On that note, Vanguard Bandits, another great contender for top five goat.

Forgot to mention Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim.

You play as the king of a kingdom. It's kind of interesting because you directly control none of the units. The only things you personally do are order buildings to be placed down, manage buildings, cast spells given to you by some of those buildings, and place bounties to explore or to kill a monster. The kingdom will run itself (with your input of course). Just as an example, it has three classic fantasy races: elves, gnomes, and dwarves. These races hate each other, so you can only have one of them in your kingdom.

Elves double the gold income of your marketplace, but they also create Elven Lounges and Gambling Halls. Both of these buildings attract your units, causing them to waste time and gold because these buildings can't be taxed.

Gnomes are extremely cheap units and build and repair buildings faster than peasants, but their combat is garbage and they will flee at the first sign of trouble.

Dwarves let you build ballista towers which are more effective and cheaper than normal guardhouses. Dwarves also have the highest magic resistance in the game.

So you have to choose which of these three works best for the type of mission you're doing. And this is only one choice.

Final Fantasy VII. It's a bit of an unknown game where you play as a dude with a huge sword. He starts off as a contractor doing eco-terrorism kinda like Greenpeace but the plot goes nuts and they have to save the world from an alien trying to do a mind-meld with the entire world.
It's pretty sick and has really good music and a decent amount of subquests and stuff. I honestly don't know why more people haven't heard of this game.

Lol, I hear that all the time. Actually, it's the game that came first! Similar to how the Pokmon show came after the game. Not a lot of people know that.

No, it's roman numerals. In Japan this series has six previous installments (they're literally impossible to find in English though, don't bother) so this is number 7. Pretty stupid that they didn't just remove the seven for western audiences but you know. That's what you can expect from a marketing team not caring about western release.

Gitaroo Man - One of the best rhythm games around IMO, despite the small number of tracks.

Breath of Fire - Everyone seems to remember II on the SNES, but I never see anyone talking about the first game, which I enjoyed much more than the second. Pretty sure more people remember Dragon Quarter than the first game...

Robopon - The robot version of Pokemon on the GBA. Decent rpg mechanics.

Skuljagger - An old SNES platformer that I can barely recall.

I bought a new PS2 just so I could play Gitaroo Man again.

And I think I still have my Robopon cartridge, though I don't think I ever got the sequel for it.

Trace Memory, a DS adventure game that really should have redefined the adventure genre and the DS in terms of each other. But I guess adventure games just aren't popular enough.

Rad Racer, Rad Racer II, Top Gear and Top Gear 2. Amazing raster racing games that somehow nobody had ever heard of.

Rescue: The Embassy Mission, an amazing arcade-style stealth action shooter that could really offer a lot to modern online shooters.

The Journeyman Project, probably the best adventure game I've ever played, complete with good worldbuilding. Sequels were good not great but bonus points to 2 for having great lore.
