Well on the one hand, it's really early Sunday morning for most of you, which isn't exactly a time of prime traffic hours

On the other, I will relentlessly bump this until I get sufficient votes and/or discussion. So who cares when I post it!

Posting even if you vote would be nice to help gauge interest in any of this. Also all the poll options have some wiggle room on the execution so we can discuss that too. Personally I'm hoping for a super awesome other option I hadn't thought of.

I guess briefly explaining that TEW 2016 is a pro wrestling booking simulation game might help, and me doing this would just be me writing show write-ups for my fantasy booking, in my attempt to be entertaining as possible while doing so, as we see how poorly the game rates my product, but I figure most people clicking this already knew what this is.

But hey, if you didn't know that, now you know!

I would follow it if there were consistent updates. I enjoy TEW a ton (hell, I just started a 1985 file myself and plan to play as far as I can). I always enjoy other diaries.

Well in theory the first option would be as regularly updated as WWE programming is which is pretty regular. Hopefully the others I could have a similar pace but I might actually go quicker with them. Particularly Running Man as part of the appeal of that mod is going through time since it's got a lot of cool events and stuff.

8 votes is better than I was expecting considering when I posted it. The relentless bumping will not stop yet, though.

Looks like most of the TEW crowd are night owls. Also looks like they don't wanna talk much.

Well let's throw some ideas on possible setups while we wait for more votes and input.

For WWE the issue is start time. What inspired this idea is I really hated No Mercy's booking, so starting September would be easiest for me, but starting November would put me further down the rabbit hole of WWE's poor booking decisions which might be more fun (and easier to sync with real time as no catch up is necessary)

For Arnold it's starting conditions. I'm thinking starting as a 0 popularity fed with no finances would be most fun. Rock Hard difficulty, basically. Arnold would be (80 overness, crummy brawler wrestling stats) my advantage. I kinda wanna take Jesse Ventura too so I can have Captain Freedom, as getting to the right popularity to have him fairly he'd probably be retired, but having two high overness oafs may make it too easy to get good show ratings.

For 1006 it'd be what fed I use.

If you do Arnie, just add Jesse. It still will take a while to get to a a high level.

For WWE, you should start in November if you plan to be more liberal with your style of booking and hiring. If you don't want to work with new talent or being less WWE-like, you should start in September so you don't have to contend with bad results on top of limiting your style.

Well if I do WWE I do not plan to try and make it WWE like, but I don't wanna go totally off the rails either hence no hiring rule and generally trying to use wrestlers in a vaguely realistic way like not having Brock wrestle on Raws. Going too far off the rails gives it a lot of overlap with eaed's anyway as he's probably hired most of the outside guys I like.

I might hire some non wrestlers or one show jobbers, or call NXTs up earlier, as I think that's fair, but that would be it.

Yeah, then I would do September. Plus it gives you a little bit of leeway to see some of WWE's future booking and play off of that.

Course Arnold may have other things to say either way making the discussion moot (though they both have good votes so either one probably works)

Will probably get started in the next day or two either way so get them votes and discussion in. Also if any of you have secondary priorities that would be cool to know too seeing as they're all so close.

I voted Arnold because I know a fair amount of the 1987 scene, though depending on where you could go, I may be less familiar with things. The current day WWE would have been my second vote, followed the the 1006verse

Arnold has the lead now.

Kinda think he'd be more entertaining for me to do, particularly since I can't find any real world mod I'm fully satisfied with as far as statting goes. Seems a mix of too generous vs too stingy-- not enough of a balance.

But WWE would probably be more entertaining to read, and well at least one of these mods seems okay. It veers on the stingy side but hey who wants to play babby mode anyway.

So it remains a tough decision, but one I'll come to tonight.

WWE has won. Not just cause it has one more vote, but because I decided I kinda wanted to do that more. Also will be easier to stay on schedule with.

Topic will go up tonight or tomorrow night. Start date will be September, however I'm basically only going to make really subtle changes (basically only stuff that totally contradicts plans I had in the No Mercy build) till No Mercy. But I plan on dumping everything through No Mercy out immediately (since before No Mercy won't really have much in the way of write-ups as I won't really be changing much-- will be a cool control case though to see what WWE's booking gets for scores)

Everything after No Mercy (and HiaC) will mostly be not WWE based, as significant changes will occur in those PPVs.
