I walked into my local GameStop the other day, and was totally floored. Where were all the video games? It was wall to wall toys and one off (overpriced) collectibles. Is GameStop seriously thinking this model will be profitable? A game store that doesn't sell games? Am I missing something?

Well they have to sell more then games. Disks and carts are being slowly faded out by digital content and game stop realizes this. Now I think you are exaggerating as they still mostly sell games I am noticing that the front of stores tends to be for other things now.

You know how when you went to GameStop there was XBOX One on one wall, PS4 on another and Nintendo on another? Yeah, not so much anymore. The back wall was where everything video game wise was pushed to. Every other space in the store was utilized for collectibles and toys.
