Question for you folks, so I've been doing push-ups for about a week or two, usually three times a day. I'm only able to do 25 at most, but my goal is to get to 100 at some point. How long do ya'll suppose that might take? I kinda had the idea that number would increase a little after a couple weeks but alas I still can't even reach 30.

I'm hoping that's normal and it'll just take longer, although maybe I'm doing something wrong I dunno

yeah I agree with nio. if you're not already doing it this way, try to break it up into smaller sets and then improve on the number of push ups you can do in each set.

getting back into planking again. I'm not in any classes right now and I've been working as little as possible, leaving a lot of free time on my hands. I was thinking deeply about this and I decided that if I'm going to have this free time I should absolutely at least be using it to improve my fitness levels.

might pick up more general exercise like lifting and running once I get back into the swing of things. I think some stamina improvement will go a long way for me so I sort of want to try running more regularly and seriously.

The adductors in both legs have been painful lately, but only right after waking up. Thankfully they don't get aggravated by coughing or sneezing like the last time it was an issue for me.

I've maintained a fitness status quo for a while because of other obligations, but I'm happy that I haven't regressed at all.

Went to the gym today for the first time in probably 6 months as the girlfriend wants motivation to go so I figure I'll go with her. I haven't consistently gone to the gym (i.e. more than a one off here or there) for 7-8 years now though.

Thinking about setting myself a 5k goal to try get myself to keep going. I used to be able to do it in ~18 mins but that was like 10-15 years ago. I think right now I could do it in the 28-30 min range if I can actually get my mind not to quit on me. I did 2.5k in 14 mins today as a warm up and wasn't overly tired, my head just told me to stop.

It's actually frustrating as that was by far my strongest attribute when doing long distance running before. I could keep running through stubbornness no matter how tired I was or how labored my breathing was. Yet now at the first sign of tiredness my head just tells me to stop even though I know full well I can push way, way harder
