Yeah, not a fan of Jace. I guess he's 'good' in the sense that he's cheap and his ultimate is cheap so you can get more Jace's.

Treasure tokens seem like the 'improved' version of that ludicrous 'untap lands' mechanic blue had way back in the day

and gideon of the trials is really good now maybe

i'm not a huge fan of tribal in general, but i'm still holding out hope. so far, i see a little less 'all Elves get +1/+1' and a little more 'having more of any type is better', as well as tribal cards that happen to work well together, but aren't useless separately

in another set, goring ceratops would cost slightly less and only give Dinosaurs double strike

Why?

Because Magic's philosophy of "let players play with their cards as much as possible" is still in strong effect. That's what changed the legend rule a few years back (which was a good move imo).

Note that I think this is as far as it will go.
