It's complicated.

The original plans for Xenogears on the PS1 were that they wanted to make 6 games, with an art book released in Japan revealing those plans (and that Xenogears itself was essentially "Episode 5").

Then when they finally got the rights back and were working on Xenosaga for the PS2, it was supposed to be on the same timeline, but then they decided that the original "Episode 1" wasn't long enough to be its own game, so they just made that the opening cutscene of the game while the rest of the game involved the events of what was originally supposed to be "Episode 2".

But then they basically just kept stretching the plot of what was originally "Episode 2" across all three games, so all we really got from the original plan was a truncated Episode 1, Episode 2, and Episode 5. Meaning there's still be three missing.

They kind of shitcanned that, though, because Xenosaga sort of tanked anyway.

Did better off than what PAL gamers got. Episode 2 only. Episode 1 and 3, along with Xenogears, never came out here.

They should put them on PC. They don't understand their own playerbase. Monolith Soft is a cancer company.

I own all 3 Xenosaga games and I will never play a games from Monolith again because Xenoblade is the opposite of what I want in a game.

I feel like on the go with these 3 games will be the best suited. there are a lot of cutscenes and running down the halls. i can easliy put it in sleep mode after each step and play it in 15 minutes outburst.
