The Opera House, every character having a definitive theme (no small feat for 14 characters, though I suppose Edgar and Sabin shared one), and the ending score that tied everything together so beautifully. Some games are enhanced by their soundtrack, a rare few have their very souls take root in it; FF 6 is in the latter category. Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross have always been damn close though.
