That's the issue. And his speech was over 30 minutes of that nonsense. Unlike the usual 30 minutes of nonsense they endure, this one actually sounded fun. In general, the Trump-bashers don't seem to ever realize how awesome they make a lot these things sound. No, it sounded like a narcissistic fluff speech with little to do with the scouts or anything grounded in reality. The AVClub sauced it up nicely. It would have been shitty to sit through that, and I completely understand parents being angry that their children went to hear political partisan talk for a scouting trip. Obama's address was a minute and a half. Trump talked for over 38 minutes, largely about himself. And those 38 minutes sound glorious from everything I've read. Meanwhile Obama would be a bore even at a minute and a half which, by the way, is a dick thing to do only giving a 90 second speech. Guess those boy scouts just aren't worth the time.
