conservatives keep telling liberals to pray that Trump isn't impeached because Pence would be much much worse and they will regret having him gone....but wouldn't that mean making Pence as VP is one of Trump's "horrible" decisions in their eyes? let's see what people will vote....

Personally, I would be ok with an impeachment of trump, but I have concerns.
1.There is nothing to gain from it, he will most likely be pardoned afterword. They will hate doing it, but not pardoning him might hurt them with his super loyal fan base. which if it happens near an election would be hard to recover from. The impeachment alone is going to hurt them enough.

2. It requires a 2/3s vote and even if the republicans want him out, the democrats want him out more, so what are they willing to give up to get the votes on their side?

3. Mike pence is more competent than trump, Without a democratic congress to oppose him he may get some big changes through and it will look like strength making a reelction for him a strong possibility no matter who the dems put up.

4. A lot of his views are the same as Trumps if not worse, in fact with how little trump seems to know or care about the presidency there is a good chance he is the one crafting the policies trump is failing at.

He won't be that much worse. He's just a standard conservative, he's not a nutjob.

I assume you don't know much about him, but he's a hardline religious conservative known for taking allegedly anti-LBGT measures. If you were to pick a president who would try to reinstate "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," this would be the guy.

Pence should get booted along with Trump. It'd be pretty incredible to try and pretend he had no idea what was going on, and he's the one who vetted Michael Flynn, who's turned out to be amazingly, hilariously compromised.
Trump should not be impeached until they have the case against Pence as well. And ideally not until after the 2018 elections. Democrats need to be smart about this and not try to rush it...possibly even slowing the process down when Republicans decide to cut their losses and try to rush it.

In general, correct. But aside from the evangelical voters, NO ONE voting for Trump last year was voting that way because they wanted Pence in the White House.
