My state has never had any restrictions on knives or bladed weapons other than ballistic knives, "throwing stars", and not having them in places like schools or brandishing them at people. As I said back then there is no reason then, that I couldn't wear a sword, and yet the """ legal experts""" on PotD seemed to think they knew better.

...Although I still don't have the money for a sword (a real one, not a cheap wall hanger) so the dream is still dead.

Much cooler than a normal old trench coat, and much more adaptable with the different parts that can be swapped out.

Yeah, an outfit like the one Raidou wears would be choice. I'm not that big on katana though. I mean they're fine, I just like classic long swords better.

Never heard of him / that game before, but yeah kinda like that. I always imagined having some sort of "torso wrap" shirt to go with it that I'd probably have to have made custom. Where it's a button-down shirt, but has the fabric on one side wrap over the other and forms a "7"-like shape w/ the buttons along the perimeter of it.
Also, the slacks would need to be less restrictive than he has...I'd want enough range of motion available to be able to roundhouse kick.

Including sparring w wasters or boktos?

And if you don't know what both of those are you shouldn't be touching a sword.

If you know how to actually use One which means sparring full contact (w gear obviously) with either of the two then by all means speak up. Otherwise you are just like some untrained idiot in the Renaciance walking around w a weapon but not knowing how to use it and just as likely to get yourself killed as the other guy.


So yeah- swords. Guns knives dildobats. Should only be carried by people who have had some basic level of competency training to use them.

This is how i feel too. Even with firearms. People should be allowed to carry but they need basic understanding of the weapon. Even then though, not eveyone is gonna be able to use that when somethig really goes down. Psych evaluations should be mandatory too. But thats a whole nother can of worms. Sory if i hijacked hahahah

As for the question of if I'm trained with a sword, heh, obviously.

I made one out of wood and practiced in my basement while watching tutorials from YouTube. I broke a light and put a hole in the ceiling, but it was worth the experience.
