cause i want 1440p 60 fps

1080p 60 fps just isn't enough.

Though what I really want is 1440p 120 fps, but that isn't gonna happen.

Actually, this would be a good topic to ask: I want to replace my R9 280x with a card to support my triple monitor set-up. Want to kick games like GTA V into high gear. Currently deciding between an 8GB RX 580 and a 6GB GTX 1060.

I built my first PC back in January, 1080p and over 60fps is the right spot for me.

Thanks, Zang, that all makes sense. The current crypto-currency market surge makes the price points more difficult to gauge as well. I've started searching on eBay for time being while Newegg and Amazon figure their stock out.

I use the video capability built into the motherboard. No need for a separate video adapter. ^.^

Same as on my previous computer, and on the one before that. ^.~

Cryptocurrency isn't something I've ever gotten into. I've been tempted. Maybe I should with my rig. Heh.

I've been mining ether with my 980. At my hashrate it would take a year to get a single payout from my pool.

It's not worth it unless you build a proper mining rig.

This is fine for most basic-use computers. If you want to run games or do graphical work, you'll need a dedicated video card. It's cheaper to buy a video card than a full gaming console, plus Steam and other sites have tons of sales. This makes PC gaming a much cheaper option than consoles. You just have to put in a small amount of work learning about requirements and adjusting any game settings that don't auto-set correctly for your system.
