Things that literally still exist and you could watch at any time if you have the brainpower to Google. You can miss people or moments, things that you can no longer have back, saying you fucking miss Tale Spin sounds stupid.

"I miss the experience of watching Tale Spin when I was a kid." is what they mean.

Watching things on your computer is different than watching them in syndication on your tv.

This, tbh. Especially for shows canceled without a proper resolution, which describes a good many of them since creators like cliffhanger finales. Even Spooksville ended unresolved, which was incredibly annoying since it was a halfway decent adaptation of my one favorite book series as a kid although it took massive liberties with the original story.

And this is what most people are are talking about when they say they miss a show. This should be pretty obvious. Everyone knows they can watch old episodes that they've already seen. Even if they arent wware of hiwneasy it is to stream these things they know they can buy dvd sets.

This kind of nostalgia is the reason why Digimon Adventure Tri exists. Personally, I'm nostalgic all the time, about something or other. But with my shitty DSL, I don't need to feel nostalgic for dial-up :)
