You're right, I apologize. I agree and disagree to an extent. Yes, the war is an absolute mess. Yes, some of the members of terrorists cells were/are/are to be a new generation of terrorists who hate America. Shit is bad and I do believe we need to stop war and meddling over in the middle east. We also need to deal with the problem of minimizing how much of a threat the actual religion poses juxtapose with terrorism.

Both of these thing NEED to happen, imo.

I agree for the most part prior to the comma, as for after...how often did Obama order drone strikes? Something like every 20 minutes for his term, on average. How often did I say it was horrible. Fucking often. Leo, you may not be wrong here, in fact I tend to agree that there should be less bombing, but at best you're a fucking hypocrite. I never, ever saw you condemn Obama's warmongering as he was doing it, only after he was no longer president as some likely virtue signaling to give yourself some idiot credibility.

I don't think I actually discussed much politically on here while Obama was still president. Of course his drone strikes were not the best things but I think there are a whole lot less dead people from drone strikes than the wars. Both are terrible but one started the whole problem and at least now we actually find out about civilians dying from drone strikes unlike the deaths of all the people from both wars on terror.

Raising minimum wage? Infrastructure spending? Environmental protections? Regulating the banks and Wall Street? Passing universal healthcare? Protecting abortion rights?

You think this is a good defense? If Obama was making terrible choices for the citizenry and you said nothing until Trump started doing roughly comparably dumb shit, and you assume it's worse just because you know about it, you have to consider the possibility that maybe you are neutral in all this. There may have been less dead people, but that doesn't excuse the action ethically. Hell, if less civilians were killed in the war, it's arguably more tenable, and that's ignoring soldier casualties.

Simply finding out about civilian deaths after the fact does not mean that the civilian deaths were negligible, after all. You would need to show that the civilian deaths in these instances were preferable statistically. And they might be, I honestly haven't looked. But I don't assume either way. I try to recognize and control for my bias. I'm not perfect at it but I do try.

I think the Fight for $15 is silly and arbitrary -- not everywhere needs $15/hr to live on, and it's just that message for the simplicity. But I guess that's politics, fits better on a bumper sticker than "I want the minimum wage indexed to inflation."
But the min. wage has lost value when adjusted for inflation over the decades, because for some stupid reason it isn't adjusted for that. I think they need to fix that, not set it to a specific higher number once.
