Spoilers......
In the book, the dog, who keeps coming back to life, finds the boy/guy he loved at the start of the movie, gets him reunited with his childhood love, and tries to let him know that he is Bailey (his first dog) reincarnated. The boy/man never really figures it out but instead suffers a stroke or something and dies (calling the dog bailey right before passing away). He never really figures out it's bailley. In the movie the do away with the depressing and very unsatisfying ending and instead the boy actually figures out it's bailey after he does a few tricks they did in his past life, and then he goes and changes his collar from Buddy (The name he gave the new dog, to Bailey, and that is the end. Much better ending, especially if you want kids to watch the movie lol. It was what I was hoping would happen in the movie. Over all the movie was just meh, the book was better but...the ending in the movie is WAY better. They SERIOUSLY cut out most of the dark/bad stuff from the book, but I still cried twice while watching the movie. --- Proud member of the Arv The Great is great fan club!!! Seriously WTF? I mean there are tons of dogs that are trained to jump into the water after stuff, they are on TV all the time, why didn't they just use one of them?

After reading the comments, they picked this dog specifically because it liked swimming. And the video is two clips spliced together. The second half is weeks after the first part where they decided to take a break because the dog didnt want to do anything that day. The dog also received regular vet checkups and was reported to be happy and healthy. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Spoilers...............................
In the book, the dog dives into an underground sewer like system to save the girl. In the movie it makes absolutely no sense anyways....seriously. The cop, lets the girl go, not trying to save her, in order to chase after the guy who kidnapped her. Yeah, the dog jumped in after her, but common, how would the cop know the dog could save her? Also, why did the bad guy suddenly have a gun all of a sudden, and why sneak up behind the cop with the gun instead of just shooting him from cover? None of it made sense in the movie at all to be honest, but it did in the book. That whole part was truncated (he was supposed to be passed off from the male cop to a female cop if I remember right), and he (even though he was a she at the time) was supposed to be old and retired (having been brought to a school to show kids a police dog) when all this happened. I realize you have to shorten things to fit them all in, but yeah, they really screwed the pooch on that part. --- Proud member of the Arv The Great is great fan club!!! Ok, that makes more sense then, cause yeah, I have watched those dog show/competitions with dogs that run and jump into pools etc, and I can't imagine it's hard to find a dog that would be ok going in the water. --- Proud member of the Arv The Great is great fan club!!! Doctor Foxx posted...helIy posted...guess it was January Depends on the studios as it's not universal. The trend now is towards faster release for home viewing. I recall many movies taking more than 6 months to be released after the theater run ended. Jurassic Park was 16 months. From what I can see looking out up studios aim for 16 weeks after release at this time, with some being shorter. I can't think of any movie with a quicker home video release than Logan (aside from films that have released on all platforms simultaneously) --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Copied to Clipboard!
