Donald Trump's first budget will make a TRILLION dollars of cuts on Food Stamps and Medicaid alone but it will include the 1.6 BILLION pledge to build the MEXICAN BOARDER WALL!!

It will officially be revealed on Tuesday that includes a wave of reductions to benefit programs including Medicaid, federal employee pensions, welfare benefits and farm subsidies.

1.6 billion will go to the wall between the US and mexico and 300 million for additional immigration agents as part of the 2.6 billion hike for border security programs

The cuts include 193 billion from food stamps over a decade and a drop in spending of more than 25%

It will be implemented by slashing eligibility and imposing additional work requirements as this currently helps 42 MILLION americans across the country.

He's targeting the Medicaid health programs that provides care to the poor and disabled and nursing home to millions of older people who could otherwise not afford it.

The house had a bitter debate on health care with a razor thin passage of 217-213 that included 800 billion in cuts to Medicaid..but it has no chance of passing alone in the Senate.

Food stamps are cut even larger than those the House tried to cut back a few years ago with 274 billion eliminated as a welfare reform.

1.7 trillion will be cut over 10 years from so called "mandatory programs" including reductions on pensions for fed workers and higher contribution toward pension benefits and cuts to refundable tax crdits paid to the poor

The cuts have been alread unpopular with Several republicans who say it's "wrongheaded" as production agriculture is in the worst slump since the depression, 50% drop in the net income for producers as Mike Conaway says they need this safety net.

The only way to achieve this balance in 10 years is by relying on optimistic estimates of economic growth and the surge in revenues after Trump promised that "massive tax cut"

It would create 3 tax brackets, 10, 25 and 35 but Republicans are not interested in another round of cuts to Medicaid.

Trump is planning on using that money for the military, including 54 billion or 10% increase.

Republicans were alarmed over this proposal that plans to cut development block grants, medical resesarch and eviscerate foreign aid.

He is also trying to offset these worries by wooing parents and offering more money for paid leave for pregnant women

This. And everyone who says doing that is bad is a fucking jerkoff. Inflation and pay need to keep step better to begin with, but the "everything will cost more" excuse is invalid. Small businesses see an increase in revenue more often than not because of the community having more disposable income. The only ones who are at serious risk to lose anything are the richest people, who coincidentally can afford to bribe whoever they want to demonize minimum wage increases.

If he was cutting to fund his wall, the 1 tril would go to his wall, not less than 2% of the trill. Also you misspelled border. And Mexico will pay us back.

While the Trump quote is an exaggeration, the Government of Mexico has a problem with people illegally working in the US because that takes away from Mexican jobs.

The food stamp cuts are aimed at unemployed able-bodied persons. Likewise, Medicaid is a means-tested program. If you were actually disabled, you'd be receiving money from social security.

What? No, it doesn't hurt Mexico or they wouldn't be complicit in illegal immigration. More importantly, the money earned in the US gets sent back to their relatives in many cases.
