garan 05/09/17 4:53:37 PM #2:	It was groundbreaking, basically all TV since it was influenced by it. Every serial show with an ongoing plot owes it a debt as TV was strongly episodic for decades. Plus, it was goofy & weird at a time when that would never make it on TV normally (ABC was in dead last at the time, even losing to the noob Fox network, and was willing to take risks in unusual programming).
