Later in the hearing, attorneys representing the DNC claim that the Democratic National Committee would be well within their rights to “go into back rooms like they used to and smoke cigars and pick the candidate that way.” By pushing the argument throughout the proceedings of this class action lawsuit, the Democratic National Committee is telling voters in a court of law that they see no enforceable obligation in having to run a fair and impartial primary election.

Didn't Hillary have like 400-something suiperdelegate votes behind her before any other candidate was even announced to be running? I know she ended up winning by more than that, but it was clear from the very beginning that the DNC wanted Hillary and no one else. It was one huge middle finger to their own voters. We expected the corruption would give Hillary a huge advantage. We just didn't expect them to be so obvious and shameless about it.

So, you betrayed Bernie and everything he stands for. Good job!

Also, Bernie lost primarily because he struggled in his outreach with minorities. Instead of trying harder, he just kind of gave up on the Southern primaries and got hilariously swamped.

I don't. Any one of Bernie's policies could have sent the economy into a downward spiral if they were allowed to pass. Hillary aside from being a criminal and a flip flopper was basically a republican.

What angers me is that all the super delegates committing to her at the start of the race reduced the amount of delegates Sanders could win from each state. This tidbit of information isn't as well known as it should be.

From the very beginning they even talked about how super delegates were meant to make sure "grassroots" candidates could not get the nomination.

the issue in my mind is mostly that having huge numbers of superdelegates stating who they're backing from day 1 is going to influence the voting patterns significantly, by discouraging turnout among those supporting the other guy, and encouraging turnout for those supporting the endorsed candidate

the other stuff seems small, but all SDs have to do is hold off on endorsing until the end of the campaign

dem primary had such low turnout that the influence here is definitely significant and i dont think it'd be a big deal for the SDs to hold off until then. obama/warren did.
