If more people were polygamists then everybody would have babies with multiple people and eventually it would get to the point where most people are related to one another in some way. This would promote a greater sense of unity and peace between people. Well yeah, if two people agreed to have a monogamous relationship then cheating is being dishonest. It's a shame that polygamy is frowned upon so much that it's basically the default assumption in any relationship that the two are going to be monogamous. Not all of them would be related by blood. If I have a kid with one lady, another guy has a kid with that same lady, but he also has one with another lady then that kid would be related to mine by extension only. I get different types of romantic care from my partners and vice versa.
