Because in that part of the world, the number 13 is considered bad luck or whatever lol .

I'd always say just make the room have a discount and then people will want to stay in it.

Yeah it supposedly has the same pronunciation as death or something. Ironic that the ps4 turned out to be super successful despite the bad luck associated with the number.

Asia's like that with the number 4. Of course, with encroaching western influence, they've also started skipping 13. So they skip both numbers.

Of course, the logical way around skipping it is to not skip it, but make it a machine level, which skyscrappers require for elevators to work.
