It was one of those things that locks your window and claims you have to call a number for Microsoft tech support because you've been infected with a virus with spyware and your credit card info is at risk. The phone number is phony(heh heh), of course, and they try to scam you by getting you to pay money for their assistance.

So instead of calling the bullshit phone number I call the ACTUAL Microsoft tech support to verify that it's a hoax. They said it was and then told me to rid myself of the virus(it keeps popping up and blocking me from Chrome) I'd have to pay them money. Which was weird, it felt like THEY were scamming me in trying to help me deal with the people scamming me. I am in no position to pay money for something the people of the Internet can help me with. Please, PotD, assist meh!

That shit pops up every once in a while. Usually for me its on some....shady sites <_< jsut restart your computer if it wont go away. I usually just keep clicking stop showing up or on the x or try to open task manager and close the window that way. But i never had it linger on any other site except the shady sites in question.

Though I had to log back in to GameFAQs and change my color scheme back to red...

You know, now that I think about it, that motherfucker at the actual Microsoft tech support tried to get me to pay money just to go to my browser settings and hit "restore to default settings". What a rip.
