I was just wondering since on every package it says "do not microwave cup".
But if I feel lazy I just wanna pour water first, then heat the cup. Is it safe then? have u guys done it?

Also game related, Did FFXV really boost sales of Cup noodles? I have yet to play it.

Microwave the water in another cup (non/plastic) till it boils.

Poor it in the cup of noodles the nuke that for about 15 seconds as well (covered).

Done and not really much extra work at all.

You are probably ok nuking it with the cup, but it's easy to avoid anyway.

I did it for years and I am fine BUT now my girl tells me not to do it because the cup suposedly releases chemicals into the soup.

I would rather spend the 3 or so extra minutes it takes to boil the water separely than risk my life.

It can melt parts of the cup and you can get chemicals that you are not supposed to eat inside you which may poison you and/or shorten your life, if you are unlucky.

I never did, but then again cup noodles was always too expensive for my family. I had to settle for the brick noodles that you had to boil and add the packet too. Once I started eating the cup noodles I had access to hot water faucets that I could use (hot water as in hot enough for tea).

it wasn't really anything too bad, and i probably blame the microwave because it was like from the 80's and didn't have a turn table in it

Agreed not everyone has a kettle but they really should if they like hot beverages and/or instant food such as noodles that require hot water that can't be cooked on the hob/microwave. As for the electric kettle part perhaps they are not as common in some countries.

Microwaving food is actually worse for you. Oh well. I just find it odd that some folk don't have kettles. Besides the instructions say "do not microwave cup". as the TC said so that's not the way to cook them.
