Is that a big deal or is it normal?

Felt like my heart was gonna burst out of my chest and then I got lightheaded, but after a few minutes I felt ok. I'm at work and don't want to make a big thing out of it if I can help it

I get them sometimes, but I don't know if it's even from anxiety per se.

Also, why are you working at this hour? Do you work the night shift?

I'm not entirely sure but I think I may have got that sometimes at work in stressful situations. like long line of increasingly angry customers when I'm on solo shift after a big cup of bean water.

I was kind of in a stressful situation but I didn't really feel panicked tbh, but then I was just suddenly overcome with pounding in my chest and then I felt really flushed afterwards

You didn't answer my question about the night shift :(

I guess maybe it's a dumb question, I mean obviously you must be working a night shift now, but I don't know if you regularly do it. And then again, for all I know, you could be traveling

If it's an unusual occurrence (like you didn't do anything different that day) then YES!

If it's something you've had for a long time that suddenly got worse. YES!

If it's just minor/short/faint and happens all the time, still ask a doc, but it's (most likely) not gonna be something to freak out about.

If the palpitations are painful, see a doctor pretty much as soon as you can.

Cool

I actually am being serious. It's not such an uncommon episode for people who suffer from acute anxiety to experience, and anyone who has experienced it will tell you it's still pretty goddamn awful, and may be a sign you've got some shit to either deal with or medicate into submission.

its a huge thing in my anxiety, its gotten better these days tho but whooo boy has my heart raced before

I used to have this thing where i would constantly be checking my pulse every 2 minutes, not even sure what i was looking for because when it was too hard I would freak out and when I could barely feel it I would freak out

Yeah; could be the caffeine.

I've had a few instances of racing/weird heartbeat for a few seconds--afterwards feeling a bit light-headed--but it was never particularly from anxiety, and I do consume plenty of caffeine.

Yeah, check with your doc, your tool cool to lose.

You might have high blood pressure, mine was insanely high but with (well alot of pills) I have it under control. High cholesterol too could be a prob. Just have it checked out to be safe (just blood work so it's easy).

You have a wife that you care about, so a good reason to keep living, might as well do everything you can to make sure that happens.

Ah yes. It happens because I become more aware of my heart beating. It's normal when it comes to anxiety as is just about any other symptom. Anxiety can manifest itself in many ways I've found. Shaking, feeling light headed, panic attacks, heart palpitations, muscle pains/tightness and blurred vision to name a few things. Mostly though with me it's a pressure in my head but that's understandable as it all stems from the brain.

I think Lokarin has that issue. you can have a feedback loop where anxiety gives you heart palpitations, and heart palpitations give you anxiety.

for me, I just get it I think when I have too much food and/or sugar before bed. it doesn't give me anxiety, it just makes it hard or impossible to sleep.

Yeah that's how I found out I get panic attacks, I woke up in the middle of the night once, my heart was going crazy, I was shaking, my face was numb. I went to the emergency room and they told me I was having a panic attack.

If left untreated, it can be lethal depending on the severity of the incident. Plus Type-2s don't need heredity.

Nothing has to be hereditary, but it greatly affects the odds of a condition. I don't eat an excess of calories, I exercise and maintain my weight, and I have consistently normal blood sugar when it has been checked at doctor visits.

Find another tree to climb.

Yes, if this was first time it was probably just a random panic/anxiety attack, if they happen frequently still no issue, that happens with panic attacks just might help to seek therapy/medication if it is negatively impacting your life.
