Random standard crap and Marsh Flats...was building G/B Constictor, but it looks like the meta might switch it to G/W or G/R. Not sure if I want to switch my deck making, sell, or wait for the first SCG/pro tour before I buy anything else. Any advice? I was thinking of keeping the Marsh Flats and getting rid of everything else.

I'm just glad I didn't buy Blooming Marshes or Hissing Quagmires <_<. This is tcgplayers buylist btw..I'm sure if I sold the Verdurous Gearhulk, Walking Ballista, and Marsh Flats on ebay I could probably get around $50 of it..but I hate dealing with ebayers.

Amonkhet is bringing back -1/-1 counters, so it turns Winding Constrictor into a double-edged sword. Should be fun to see how things go. You should update your buylist, too, as Amonkhet's almost here.

Yeah, that's why I think it's going to shift.

Too risky..and I'm not good enough to predict the shell or if green is going to be playable at all. Red and White look really good in Amonkhet.

I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh since it first came to America. I've heard it's a different game now.

Don't really have a trade-list...I was collecting and then I wanted to build a standard deck with what I had.

I know nothing about EDH.

I was also thinking of going to a pre-release and try to trade, but knowing my luck I'll get crap in my boosters and it'll be a waste of $30.

Right now it's about how well you execute the potential combos available to you

Fusion has more or less been surpassed by synchro and Xyz, which involve adding levels to make a stronger monster, and stacking monsters with the same levels to make a Rank monster, respectively.

Way back in the day, throwing out Gemini Elf, a 1900 normal monster, wasn't too bad. Nowadays you can summon a small Kozmo archetype monster and instantly banish it to summon a level 8 3000 ATK monster that can't be targeted by your opponent's card effects

I don't even recognize half those terms, but it sounds crazy.

I stopped playing because early on they released new sets so frequently that it was very hard to keep up, but I guess they were just trying to catch up to the Japanese sets I bet. Apparently all the stuff I had back then got banned in eternal. My favorite card was Harpie's Feather Duster...had a Japanese one <_<.

Limited >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Standard

by far. Draft/Sealed is way more fun than standard.

I love sealed because it's usually a friendly environment at my LGS.

Think I could use any of this list as trade fodder?

Yeah, HFD is just kinda too strong to destroy so much and not have a cost. They even banned Heavy Storm. Although, since trap cards are way less common than spells now and Counters are mainly created by monsters that negate effects/destroy rather than spells/traps (which are mostly used to search or help summon said monsters), cards like Mystical Space Typhoon and the newer Twin Twisters are unlimited.

Raigeki got unbanned, though, if that tells you anything about how fast the game has got. Blowing up your opponent's entire field is A-ok

I love it and probably always will, but it hasn't been handled as well as it could have been. Pendulum is pretty balanced, but Xyz completely reshaped Yugioh forever. I'm used to it now, but when I first came back to Yugioh I almost quit again because of how crazy it is to someone who grew up in GX era.

I'm not good enough to predict the meta.

I usually have a clue by the first SCG tournament before the pro-tour. My brother has the constrictor deck online (which is primarily why I was building it, since I'm familiar with it but he runs more of a delirium build) , and he wants to try a G/U build when Amonkhet releases.

Exodia is limited, so you can only have one copy of each piece. It's mostly been untouched, but it got two support cards sort of recently: "Summoned Lord Exodia" and "Obliterate!!". You can tribute an Exodia piece to play SLE, who is unaffected by all other card effects, and gets 1000 ATK for every Exodia piece in your graveyard. He returns a piece from the grave every end phase, and if he's destroyed, you can draw a card for every Exodia piece in your hand.

Obliterate!! lets you send an Exodia card from your hand/deck to the graveyard to return a monster to someone's hand, once per turn.

Exodia still sucks though. Some people were making a fuss that Sangan was made totally unlimited, but it's not gonna change anything.
