Like a marriage license is only warranted for 60 days. You still have to have a ordained minister to marry you.

Nope, don't need a minister at all. Just get a magistrate to marry you guys, you can do it at home, or meet at a McDonalds, or at the court house or whatever. The magistrate will probably charge you like $50 or something.

You and the spouse sign it, the magistrate signs it, and, at least here in Arizona, two witnesses sign it. The magistrate checks everyone's IDs to make sure they are who they say they are when they're signing, and it's over.

You could ask them to do a little ceremonial speech thing if you wanted to, but that's between you and them.

Sounds pretty simple. You know any people who just got married in a court house and not have some fancy wedding?

Honestly, that's not the weirdest thing about marriage here. When my wife and I went to get our license, the clerk had us raise our hands and swear that, to the best of our knowledge, we were not already family members. Don't even need a blood test, I just have to tell some random dude at the courthouse that I'm pretty sure I'm not marrying my sister, and we're good to go. Trying really hard out here to avoid incest, huh.

A friend of mine had an Elvis impersonator marry him and his wife, it was done at the local park.

I have never heard of a minister being a requirement.

Most of my friends who got married did so at a courthouse with no one but a spouse, the legal clerk, and two witnesses.

Huh now that I think about it they asked me and the ex that too.

Wtf Arizona. To much dirt and cactus make us go crazy apparently.

Granted I do know of incestuous relationships a plenty over in Pinal county.
