SUNY and CUNY are already overcrowded as hell and started becoming an issue almost a decade ago. It also devalues the degree because most people take that degree to pretty much downstate NY. An extremely competitive and unaffordable area with very little jobs. Forcing people to stay is just going to do further damage to the NY economy. Not to mention the tax increases. Literally this area has 3 of the highest property tax counties in the entire country for example. Nickle and diming has already become NY's way to gather the funds to pay for all these shits. You know, instead of legalizing weed. /ranting lol --- It all just disappears, doesn't it? In theory this should make the colleges themselves much more competitive since it will theoretically Skyrocket the number of applications.
