I had shit like Super Mario 3 where you just ran and jumped. My 4 year old wanted to try BOTW but its so fucking complicated like ffs. I might have to buy some virtual console games for my wii u for her to play.

There are plenty of simple games on the market though. Steam has literally thousands of them . Just maybe not the ultra AAA titles that were franchises when you were young.

you will soon realize that kids cannot handle older games because they've grown up with games that hold their hands the entire time and are basically tutorials for the entire campaign. if a game doesnt have a giant glowing arrow telling them where to go they'll get confused and give up because they are unable to apply critical thinking to video games
