They're all fun. The earlier ones are more "serious" in terms of real life scenarios, the last three or four are just crazy 80s style action blockbusters.

I watched the first 3 and only the first one was any good imo. Tokyo Drift was corny but entertaining.

Tokyo Drift is the best standalone, but they're all so good for the camp.

It's worth noting, however, that the order of the films is not the chronological order of the overall story.

F&F shouldn't be watched in machete order.

I liked the first 3, I haven't seen any of the ones past that.

The first few are still somewhat realistic and believable and I enjoyed the whole underground street racing scene they tried to portray. The newer ones just seemed like over the top action flicks, which didn't interest me.

IMO they've gotten better and better

F&F was never good as a seirous action movie, it does much better the more ridiculous it is.

idk, 4 was pretty bad, but the rest were great. Basically after 4 they stopped taking themselves seriously and embraced the insanity.

They get really sweaty in the older ones. Like The Rock's beard is just a soaking wet sponge the whole time. I'm shocked there were no injuries due to slipping on sweat puddles.

The Rock was covered in baby oil. They even joke about that in the later movies.

just saying. thats what originally got me interested to see the very first one. I used to modify my old Eclipse and subsequent EVO. Was cool to see Hollywood's take on the "tuner scene."

The Fast and the Furious
Fast and Furious
Fast Five
Fast Six
Fast Seven

Are like the "main" titles so that you could understand "the story"

2 Fast 2 Furious is the funniest one, but you could skip it because it literally just introduces 2 characters that don't come back until the 5th one.

Tokyo Drift can be skipped entirely unless you're really into racing. That movie was almost all racing and no action.

No it isn't. The only part that has any importance to the franchise is re-shown to you at the end of the sixth movie.

Even 2 Fast has more relevance than Tokyo Drift, and that isn't saying much since the only relevance 2 Fast has is introducing you to Roma and Tej

And if you want to know what led to those events, you need to watch Tokyo Drift. Besides Han is extremely likable and it's basically his backstory. Consider it the Rogue One of the F&F universe.

But what led to *that* event isn't important at all. So it isn't necessary at all.

wrong again.

The later movies essentially disavow it. While Tej is introduced, you're led to believe that Brian and Roman ride off into the sunset and live off their newly acquired money. There is no explanation given for why Brian ends up returning as a cop in Fast & Furious 4.

Nothing screams "not important" to me more than comparing a film to Rogue One lol

Also, I'm pretty sure Better Luck Tomorrow is Han's backstory, not Tokyo Drift. Tokyo Drift is just like "hey, this is some unimportant shit Han flat out said he was going to at the end of Fast Five and Fast Six."

Like it's a good movie but it's not important to the Fast and Furious franchise at all.

The only F&F related movie I like isn't even a F&F movie. If I recall correctly, Better Luck Tomorrow is connected to those movies because one of the characters show up in one of the Fast films as a major character or something.

I mean, that's the whole reason I also said 2 Fast is skippable. But if you think the introduction of two major characters connection to the crew means less than a simple side story about a character that added nothing to the overall plot other than he died, which wasn't even really explained in detail until the sixth film anyways I really don't know what to tell you because you'll never understand just how wrong you are.

I mean I don't get why you WOULDN'T watch it anyway. Especially if you're going to force yourself to watch 4 & 2 which are inferior movies. It has the best car stunts of the whole franchise (there's actual driving involved and not CGI). And it also features IMO the best car in the whole franchise (The Frankenstein Mustang). Sean sucks but Han negates that.

1. Is by far the best and most quotable
2. Is so bad it's good. Even more than the first. Quotable and a total parody of itself and many genres
3. Different approach than the previous two, but still quotable and rediculous which is what the series was about to this point
4.Garbage. Maybe the worst in the series. Boring and takes itself seriously. Total shift from the series at this point
5. One of the best. Maybe second best at the highest but certainly the best after the first 3. The series is reborn as a heist/racing move and is actually really well done, but loses some of the fun quotablity of the first three movies.
6. Straight up rediculous to the point of not even being enjoyable. Magic is lost. One of the worst.
7. Not as bad as six but the same type of movie.

Joke opinion.

6 is neck and neck with Fast Five as best in the series.
