I'm extremely shy and have autism. I don't do well around a lot of people, and since I don't drive, it's hard to get there when I would want to go, very late at night.

The vast majority of people are not going to get serious muscle developmwnt from doing bodyweight exercises. Even Planet Fitness will be limiting.

Unless you are completely destitute, I highly recommend going there at least as a starter gym.

Lol if you picked up every quarter you found on the street that month, you can pay for a gym membership.

The big thing tho I'd say is if you've never started exercising before, talk to a friend or family member who does and can help you develop a routine to start. As people say, the key is exercising effectively (form, etc), and having someone who knows what their doing to show you the ropes can help.
