Just buy whey in bulk, but don't eat it. The secret here is to mix it with water and rub it gently on the areas you want to develop.

on gold standard
anything from myprotein
intek's pretty good, too

pretty much anything that isn't walmart tier (body fortress, EAS, etc) is 'good enough' in terms of mixability, taste, and macro loadout.

imo:
- don't get mass gainer+protein powder combo. Waste of money. Get protein powder + rolled oats if that's what you want.
- don't get isopure-esque 96% protein by calorie stuff. Also waste of money and a little sugar/fat ain't gonna kill ya

fyi, nutrition timing means absolutely nothing. There is no magic postworkout window, and if there was, you're better off consuming protein beforehand because there's this thing called "digestion"

Use the powder when you want/need protein but don't feel like cooking/eating meat/cheese/dairy/beans/etc. Remember it's literally a supplement.

Overpriced but convenient. Average taste, decent g protein.

There's some broscience about excessive soy consumption leading to lower test levels and more estrogen (which most lifters would opt to avoid) but most peer review offers no such data

Ah ok. I don't know anything about protein powders and what not (this topic is a small part of my current research), however last week at the grocery store I bought several of the 40g bottles just to have something before I did my research. Saw some bad reviews about them so I dunno but I'll keep researching.
